Environmental Records

Planning Magazine has a good article evaluating the past four years of the Bush Administration's environmental record (original article). The article strains to be balanced, but the current administration does not give the writer much to hold onto as the author slides toward the other side with the quickly tilting deck.

Grist Magazine has an article on John Edward's environmental record. He's not perfect, but he's better than most.

Go look for your favorite stretch of coastline or compare how much erosion or development has happened.

Rendering thousands of science fiction books factually incorrect, Steven Hawking changed his mind about black holes and decided that they do not destroy all matter that they suck in. I'm glad for the advancement of science, and this seems to make more sense, but it is less viscerally interesting as theories go...
